We’re back with the second instalment of our price comparison baskets! In September we reported the comparison of Hawkesbury Stores and supermarket prices for a big basket of essential groceries.
Now, we reveal our prices for a basket of our higher-end groceries – those delicious luxuries you might treat yourself to at the weekend, or if you’ve got friends to impress!
As before, we’ve compared our costs with products found in Tesco. Of course, one of the lovely things about of our high-quality ranges is that many can’t be bought in supermarkets. You won’t find delicious sausages from Hawkesbury’s France Lane Farm, or succulent bacon from Woodchester, in the aisles of Yate Tesco! However, we’ve compared as closely as we can, and here are the results:

We were £3.32 more expensive than Tesco for a basket of ‘Luxury’ items, £1.22 pricier if you get the bus, but more than £3 cheaper if you take the car.
