ADMINISTRATOR

5 hrs per week (flexible) at competitive hourly rate (dependant on age – must be over 18)

Hawkesbury Stores would like to recruit an Administrator to join our thriving community store’s successful team, whose goal is to provide high quality customer service to ensure the growth of the business.

The successful applicant will:

  • have good communication and analytical skills
  • be confident and experienced in using computers
  • be well organised and have good time management skills
  • be flexible in attitude
  • be a team player

He or she will work alongside the shop manager and the rest of the team on a variety of administrative tasks including:

  • updating the EPOS system
  • processing supplier invoices
  • checking and updating prices
  • providing insights from information processed

If you have business administration experience including good computer skills with an interest in data processing and analysis, we would love to hear from you.

This newly-created post will initially be on a three-month contract, with strong potential to become a permanent role.

SHOP ASSISTANT

Minimum of 20 hrs per week @ up to £8.91 per hour (dependant on age – must be over 18)

Hawkesbury Stores would like to recruit an enthusiastic and committed shop assistant to join our thriving community shop’s successful sales team, whose goal is to provide high quality customer service to ensure the growth of the business.

The successful applicant will:

  • have good communication skills
  • have a flexible attitude
  • be a team player
  • be attentive to customers’ needs
  • have the ability to follow procedures correctly, such as using the till (training provided)

Responsibilities will include:

  • helping customers to find products in the shop
  • handling payment for purchases
  • receiving deliveries and restocking shelves
  • adhering to health and safety regulations

You will be required to work early mornings, evenings and weekends on a regular basis and to be very flexible about shifts. Please note that this role is physically demanding.

This newly-created post will initially be on a three-month contract, with strong potential to become permanent.

This post will be confirmed subject to

  • two satisfactory references, one must be your current/most recent employer.
  • a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check (DBS) (funded by Hawkesbury Community Store)
