Hawkesbury Stores will be taking part in the 2017 Cotswold Hare Trail, by displaying an 18inch/46cm tall ‘leveret’ (baby hare) statue in the shop window from 25 March.
But our leveret is completely white at the moment, so we’re inviting local children to show us how they’d like him/her to be decorated.
Budding artists can let their imagine go wild! You might design a striking pattern, adorn the hare with a beautiful picture, craft an abstract image or create an outfit of painted clothes…the possibilities are endless!
The Hawkesbury Stores’ Hare Design Challenge is open to young people aged 16 years or under. Simply download this entry form, design your hare on the blank template, fill in your details and return the form to Hawkesbury Stores by Tuesday 28 February.
The winning design will be painted onto the leveret and – when the hare trail finishes – the statue will be auctioned in the village, with proceeds going to charity.
People will travel from all over the Cotswolds following the trail, so your design could be seen by hundreds of hare-hunters! Good luck!
